Crisis Aid Steak Dinner Fundraiser

The Crisis Aid Program in Stettler helps individuals, and families, in need with one time help in a crisis situation. Here's just a few examples of how they can help:

  • Grocery Gift Cards

  • Medical Trips

  • Gas Gift Cards

  • Prescriptions

  • Employment Related Expenses

  • Temporary Accommodations

You see people every day that have used the Crisis Aid Program but you would never know it. We don't see what the program does exactly, there are no pictures of who gets the services on social media and there is no community announcement as to who receives the funds or where they go. This isn't secrecy; its professional discretion from the staff and volunteers of FCSS making sure that the people in our community feel secure in asking the program for help when they need it.

The program has done many wonderful things for many of our community members over the years and as a community, we are so very grateful these dedicated staff and volunteers keep in the background making sure the most basic needs of our friends, family members and neighbours are met.

How you can help

1. If you see a fundraising event for the Cris Aid program, jump in! The staff and volunteers are always working to support this essential program through different types of fundraisers. Below are pictures of the Steak Dinner Fundraiser hosted by the Cris Aid Program and Brenda's Cafe on April 27th where for $30 we were treated to an amazing meal with wonderful service. It was a lovely evening out and we helped support the program just by attending. Fundraisers are hard work so please attend these community events and offer your support when you are able.

2. Growing Smiles Fundraiser - A wide variety of flowers, vegetable plants and herbs are available to purchase through Growing Smiles with all proceeds going directly to the Crisis Aid Program. Order deadlines, details and dates are posted on Stettler & District FCSS Facebook Page including when the fundraiser is active annually during spring, fall and winter seasons.

3. If you would like to help the Crisis Aid Program, please consider making a donation. Please make cheques payable to:
